At the end of 2019 I purchased a Nissan trail from one Thomas Horn at wow motors, which was then located in surfers paradise. I disclosed to Mr horn that it was important me to have a reliable car as I’m on dsp and getting a loan to buy one was hard enough. There were a few red flags that I wish I’d paid attention to, but I’d not bought a car on my own before and thought going through a yard would be the safest option. I was wrong. I didn’t even get the car home as the clutch went. There was a bit of back and forth, going up and then “fiddling with it”, and it still wasn’t working. He then said and I quote “I’ll get the clutch replaced going by your word that it’s not working”. I’ve only driven manual cars from the time I got my license. I was taught how to drive stick from my father who drove cars for a living. I drove manual cars for his car yard when he still had one. I KNOW how to drive a manual. After many excuses for weeks on why the car still wasn’t fixed I went to fair trade. They advised me to email mr horn on the options going forward. By that time I’d had the car on the road for two days and it had been back at the lot for over a month. He said he’d have it back after the date specified and by this time I just wanted the car back. I got it back and it still wasn’t right. By this time it was well past the month warranty. Also getting in touch with me was not the easiest thing to do. A few weeks later I was at the transport department to find out why I hadn’t gotten a rego renewal letter only to discover that the car wasn’t even in my name. They wouldn’t let me leave till we got a hold of Mr horn and he transferred ownership to me. A few months later while driving 100km on the M1 the clutch went again. I was stuck on the side of the M1 for 40 mins while waiting for an emergency tow. I was told it would be another 2500 to get the clutch fixed. Being on dsp and paying off a car loan already there was no way I could afford that. I had help contacting Mr horn to find out what was done by his mechanic to “fix” the car and Mr horn said he’d get those details and email us. He then blocked us on everything. I contacted fair trade again and it became a back and forth where he said that I don’t know how to drive a manual properly being a woman so it was clearly my doing. The woman from fair trade was sympathetic for me. I said the only way I’m going to be able to get proof that the clutch wasn’t repaired properly is if I sell the car and who ever buys it brings me the proof. She said ok. So that’s what I did. I still have the clutch sitting in my garage 4 plus years later. It’s not the proper clutch kit. Two separate parts for two separate vehicles. The mechanic said the fact they got it started at all without it making a horrendous noise is a miracle. The fact that I managed to drive it as long I did without it failing much sooner is testament to my ability to drive manual cars. I went back to fair trade with the proof and was told that since I’d sold the car they wouldn’t help me anymore. A fact I was not told before hand. I am still to this day on my DISABILITY PENSION paying off a car I don’t even own. Because of Mr Horn conning me I have only been able to go out do stuff with my kid TWO times in over 4 years! Because of my health issues I can’t take public transport. I can’t afford to take taxis everywhere. I am stuck at home with no way out unless I get a lift. It’s humiliating. I can’t afford to get another car loan. I borrowed the first lot from a friend. I can’t do that again. A tip for anyone looking at doing any business with Mr Horn is do your research. Listen to your instincts. Get your mechanic to do a thorough check on the car first. Or better yet go elsewhere. Because if you get a lemon from him he won’t care how much it affects your life.

There are a lot of drawbacks using children to complete orders. I have stopped going to calamvale maccas due to the number of inaccurate or poorly made items. It's probably the worst maccas I have ever attended and I travelled extensively.
